Parent & Dancer Testimonials

"Encore invigorated my passion for dance: the teachers taught me how to express myself through movement in a fun and driven environment while also teaching me the life skills of discipline, teamwork, commitment, and responsibility. Dancing from 3 years old through high school at Encore, I decided to continue my dance training by pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance at Chapman University. Encore helped prepare the path for me to college and to my professional career in Chicago by giving me training in a variety of dance styles, a wonderful support system, and opportunities for me to grow as an individual artist and person."

-Sarah Baker, Graduate of Chapman University, BFA in Dance Performance.

"I love that Encore offers competitive dance teams.  The dance teams offer a dancer the best of both worlds-- Dance and team sports."

 -Beth Docking, Encore Parent.

"I cannot speak highly enough nor give enough praise to Encore Dance Studio for the quality dance instruction they continue to provide. The nurturing instructors supported my growth, not only as a dancer, but as an artist and person. They prepared me for a rigorous, but rewarding study of dance at one of the most well-regarded collegiate programs in the nation. Now, as a freelance artist pursuing dance in a metropolitan city, I speak from experience when I say that the dedication of Encore's instructors to their students' growth exceeds all else. I highly regard Encore Dance Studio and would recommend their exceptional instruction to dancers with all levels of experience."

- Briana Albright, 2014 Graduate of Point Park University, Degree in Dance and English.

"Encore Dance Studio has influenced my life in a ton of different ways.  It has just made my life more exciting. All of the teachers are so supportive.  I have been coming here since I was three years old and I've enjoyed every moment of it. I don't think I've ever had a bad day at Encore. Dancing is one of my biggest passions.  When I dance, it's like everything clears from my mind and I'm in a totally different world, especially with jazz .  A lot of people think dance is really easy.  But I bet if you took one of my friends that do lots of sports into a jazz or ballet class, they would have a very difficult time.  Being a dancer, you have to reach deep inside and find a very different person in yourself, and express that person.  That's a very hard thing to do and to discover about yourself, and sometimes, after a class, your muscles feel sore.  I love that feeling! It tells you you've accomplished something, it tells you you've worked hard . . .
I have met my closest friends through Encore and I know the teachers and students will always be there to support me.  The strong relationships between teachers and students provide a fun and comfortable, yet challenging environment, The experiences I have had at Encore dance studio have prepared me for dancing in the future.  Or just be anything I want to be in life."
